I always love this place. Very nice people, even when I asked to be re-seated so I'd be closer to the fire place which is beautiful! It's everything you'd expect it to be and its nice to look at the old stuff on the walls.

I really do not recommend having a meal here!! We went in the morning at breakfast and they gave us dinner menus. We had to request breakfast menus. Our waitress was impolite, the food took forever and when she served it she forgot items. The pancakes were dry and burnt, the sausage was under cooked and the smoke flavor in the sausage tasted like charcoal. Not a good meal at all. Thumbs down from Detroit!!!! I hope the Flap Jack Shack is better!!!

Good food. There was some sort of unpleasant burnt odor in the air and the fireplace was not burning (although it was cold enough for it- 43 degrees). In all, I am never really dissapointed. I SHALL RETURN!

I like this place, the store has unique fun stuff, food is always consistently good and great service. I always order pretty much the same stuff (sampler platter), I like their meatloaf, but the last time we were there, I was told there will be an hour wait on meatloaf (LOL), so I opted for something else, so that was a bit disappointing...oh one thing that they could improve on, maybe serve the biscuit and cornbread prior to bringing the food so people can munch on them while waiting.

I understand that Easter is a busy day here, but we received TERRIBLE service. When we gave the hostess our last name, she made fun of it. About 15 minutes later we got our table, and the hostess continued to mock our last name, saying it sarcastically and with a disgusted face. Seriously. Our server only checked up on us once, about 40 minutes after we ordered, and didn't seem concerned when we said that we would need everything to go if it took much longer because one of us had to be at work in not too long. We got there at 5:30 and he had to work at 7. At 6:30 we still haven't gotten our food and we're getting up to leave, when the server suddenly rushes out with everything in to go boxes and doesn't apologize at all. Our food was cold, items were forgotten, and the bacon was so burnt it was barely edible. Never once apologetic that we waited 50 minutes for cold food.

The waitstaff was less than par. Our waitress graced us with her presence perhaps three times, once to slap our check on the table with a reassuring "no rush". She seemed more interested in conversing with some lady at the table across from us. The food was even more disappointing. My pot roast was dry, served in some fatty congealed "gravy" and the portion was humorously small. My bowl of cottage cheese was larger than my entire meal. My husband had the reuben and let me assure you that better Reubens can be found at any local fast food joint. Save your time and money, go somewhere else! Perhaps arbys.

Consistently consistent. Decent food at a fair price with interesting things to look at on the wall. I usually like the local places in most towns, but in Traverse City, if you want honest food, you might as well go to the chains.

Fantastic food. I ordered the French toast and eggs and it was great. High recommendations!

The food is the same as any cracker barrel. The staff here was very friendly.

This ain't the first Cracker Barrel I dined at, but just the upbeat attitude of the staff separates it from the rest. We arrived, tired and hungry, ten minutes before closing -- fully expecting to be turned away. Instead, we were welcomed in and seated by a gracious young host. Service was very prompt and courteous. The food was well-prepared. My wife's blackened catfish came out just right. She was ecstatic on first bite. My salad was equally good. Overall, I couldn't be more positive on how good this place is. Definitely worth your dining dollars.
